Lavoie成新東家VanMoof進入新時代

英國,倫敦(LONDON)-英國F1賽車工程技術公司McLaren Applied旗下電動滑板車品牌Lavoie,已同意收購荷蘭破產品牌VanMoof。新東家表示其計畫穩定並拓展業務,同時轉用第三方零售通路。

VanMoof自7月17宣布破產後便不斷尋找買家,阿姆斯特丹法院同日解除荷蘭VanMoof Global Holding BV、VanMoof BV及VanMoof Global Support BV法人實體暫停付款程序,並宣布以上實體破產。經過一陣傳聞,也考量諸多潛在買家後,看似有一間企業確定有意願承擔該荷蘭電動自行車品牌帶來的挑戰。

為VanMoof打開新市場

McLaren Applied董事長Nicky Fry向路透社表示:「這對我們來說是個很好的機會,因為VanMoof擁有非常出色的產品。不過這也不是一條好走的路,畢竟這是一間陷入財務困難的公司。」

Fry所指的,是有詳盡記錄的服務問題和專利零件。該公司去年損失近8,000萬歐元,破產時債務達1.44億歐元。據報導,VanMoof自2009年成立後,已售出約20萬輛電動自行車。

在新管理團隊之下,VanMoof計畫捨棄自家零售模式,取而代之的是第三方零售作為通路並提供相關服務,觸及潛在買家,開拓全球新市場。Lavoie主要經營摺疊電動滑板車。

交易金額未公開

Lavoie和母公司McLaren Applied並未公開交易金額,不過Fry亦向路透社表示,短期要穩定VanMoof所需的資金會達「上千萬英鎊」。

根據報導,McLaren Applied將保留VanMoof部門經理職位,並會積極留住或再次雇用一些優秀人才,包含約50-60個重要職位。VanMoof破產時約有700位員工。另外,荷蘭財經媒體FD報導,Carlier兄弟不會在新VanMoof擔任管理團隊要職,VanMoof將由Lavoie主管帶領。

Merida revenue recovers but profit lags behind

Leading e-bike brands discontinue North American business

Selle Royal unveils technology that turns waste into saddle padding
