2nd Generation Vélib' Métropole Bicycles and E-Bikes Presented in...

PARIS, France - Yesterday the second generation of Paris' self-service bicycle rental system, the Vélib' Métropole was presented in the French capital. It was developed by Smoovengo, a consortium of Indigo, Moventia, Mobivia and Smoove, which will put the Velib' in service from 1st January 2018.

NuVinci Cycling Changes Brand Name To 'enviolo'

TAICHUNG, Taiwan - After ten years of investing in the brand and technology of NuVinci, owner Fallbrook Technologies Inc. decided to change the name NuVinci Cycling to enviolo. MILAN, Italy - Victor Luis investment fund, Asobi Ventures Inc., acquired a majority share in Gruppo Srl, the parent company of the prestigious Italian bicycle manufacturer, Cinelli, and historic tube manufacturer, Columbus. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Amer Sports Sells Mavic to U.S. Private Equity Firm

HELSINKI, Finland - After announcing its intention to sell its bicycle business as part of its group portfolio, stock-listed Amer Sports Oyj has now entered into an exclusive agreement with global private equity firm Regent, LP to sell Mavic S.A.S. The purchase price is not disclosed. Amer Sports second bicycle component brand Enve is not included in the sale.
