Sport 2000 GmbH to put bicycles accessories upfront in its stores

MUNICH, Germany - The German branch of retail giant Sport 2000 GmbH announced that it integrate the product category bicycles more prominently in its outdoor offering. The concept will be offered to retailers in the five countries where Sport 2000 GmbH operates: Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland.

Porsche sets future strategy for e-bikes

FRANKFURT, Germany - Porsche AG bundled its e-bike drivetrain activities under the umbrella of Porsche eBike Performance GmbH, which it founded in 2022. This includes the recently acquired brands Greyp and Fazua. The latter is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, which is why the Eurobike presentation in Frankfurt was all about the lightweight e-MTB pioneer. German e-bike market performed strong in 2022

BERLIN, Germany - The German e-bike and bicycle market performed very strong in 2022 with a 10% increase in e-bike sales the national industry organisation, ZIV has reported. Perhaps sales could have been much higher as ZIV CEO Burkhard Stork refers to a "general reluctance of consumers to buy in the second half of the year."

FRANKFURT, Germany - The Eurobike Award will return to this years edition of the international bicycle industry trade show. For this indicator of trends in the industry, Eurobike has partnered with the German Design Council. Eurobike in Frankfurt will be held from June 21 to June 25, 2023.

Markus Riese steps down as CEO of Riese & Müller

Internetstores' online retailer steps into cargo bike sales

STUTTGART, Germany - One of Europe's leading bicycle and outdoor e-commerce company's Internetstores Holding GmbH (owned by Signa Sports) is expanding its German online store sales portfolio with cargo bikes with their platform Fahrrad.de.
