Corona recovery plan sees cycling climb ranks in EU agenda

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Last week European cycling associations marked an important breakthrough for cycling on the EU agenda as an equal mode of transport with the auto sector and public transport. At a press conference the Executive Vice President of the Commission, Frans Timmermans, announced that cycling can be funded as part of new mobility money that will be released by the EU.

Cargo bike industry survey gives full picture of the market

BRUSSELS, Belgium - All companies making or supplying cargo-bikes for delivery and consumer use are called to complete a research study by the CityChangerCargoBike project into the European market. The research addresses brands, dealers and distributors of cargo bikes as well as suppliers and providers of cargo bike specific products and services.

Cycling industry leaders call for 5 billion euro EU e-bike access fund

BRUSSELS, Belgium - In a 2,5 hour webinar Cycling Industries Europe (CIE) CEO Kevin Mayne called for "the creation of an e-bike access fund so that these can be available to everyone throughout the EU, to buy, to share and to enable small businesses to buy e-cargo bikes."
