BRUSSELS, Belgium - Packaging volumes continue to rise globally. No official figures for the bicycle industry are available, but looking at long supply chain legs, the contribution to the tonnes of plastic and carboard waste can be regarded as very substantial. The European industry organisations are launching an industry-wide commitment to reduce packaging.

French cargobike brands performing well in booming market

PARIS, France - The French e-cargo market has been growing for about three years. In 2021, sales in this category recorded the strongest increase with a volume of around 15,000 units. Besides the major international brands, also domestic brands, such as Douze Cycles and Kiffy have now established themselves in the market.

German market shows no sign of slowing as sales continue to grow

Dutch e-bike and bicycle market shrinks by 15.9 % in 2021

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - The much-discussed topic of supply chain constraints have had a direct impact on product availability. Due to the delivery problems, directly related to the corona pandemic, the e-bike and bicycle market in the Netherlands saw a record sales volume decline for 2021.

IDbike seeks €2 million investment to expand production volume
