FRANKFURT, Germany - The 17th edition of the Battery Experts Forum is now underway in Frankfurt. In a change of date to coincide with Eurobike, more than 100 leading industry users, developers, opinion leaders as well as researchers from international companies and institutes will talk about the latest trends in batteries over the next 3 days.

New ruling in the Netherlands enforces e-bike battery recycling

ZOETERMEER, the Netherlands - Manufacturers and importers of e-bike batteries are now obliged to contribute to the collection and processing system for bicycle batteries. More than 150 companies which are members of the EPAC Foundation already meet these requirements. Since 1 July 2022 these conditions are generally binding.

European start-up develops automated upcycling of e-bike battery cells

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - European cleantech start-up, Circu Li-ion is aiming to maximise the lifecycle of each lithium-ion cell by developing an upcycling process of battery cells on an industrial scale. With a 7-figure pre-seed investment on board the company's technology could see the carbon footprint and operating costs of e-bike batteries being reduced.
