WARSAW, Poland - The potential of the Polish bicycle market is generally regarded as very high, but supply chain constraints have made the bicycle market very unstable. Over the past decade, Poland became a very popular location to produce bicycles for the EU market. But assemblers are facing major delays due to shortages of drivetrain components.
WARSZAW, Poland - Exact market data for 2019 is not yet available but the Polish Cycle Association (PCA) expects a decline in bicycles sales this year. "In 2018 more than 1.1 million bicycles were sold in Poland but according to our reports so far, we will not reach such high sales level for 2019", said PCA President Krzysztof Dylewski. "This is a remarkable development. In the past years, the average number of bicycles sold has been hovering around 1.1 to 1.3 million units."
