The excess inventory situation was already reflected at Taichung Bike Week last September but also came forward in Bafang's nine months earnings result which did not improve compared with 2023.

As a specialist for two-wheel drive systems, manufacturer Bafang has stepped into this future growth market and founded the subsidiary T&D e-Motorcycles business group.

E-bikes have gained considerable recognition in recent years, yet many of their accessories and parts remain similar to those found on ordinary bikes. Essentially, this limits their potential, which is why Bafang's GVT technology, and specifically the G500A, a new 5-speed gear hub, have set the stage to optimise the e-bike shifting experience.

SUZHOU, China - The official accreditation of the Bafang Laboratory Center by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) confirmed the successful creation of world-class professional testing laboratory for two-wheel drive systems. The component manufacturer is investing substantially to expand its market position. "The industry needs to regain confidence to restart the market again," Bafang President and CEO Qinghua Wang told Bike Europe on a recent visit.
