The Indian bicycle industry seems upbeat with the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the European Union and the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) with the United States. Both are regarded as key emerging markets for bicycle exporters, as observed at the recently concluded Ride India Expo 2026 held at the Ludhiana Exhibition Centre in India.

LUDHIANA, India - Hartex Rubber has opened a new bicycle tube plant at its Ludhiana site, creating an additional daily capacity of 25,000 tubes. "The new tube unit, at an investment of INR 150 million (€1.8 million) has been set up to cater entirely for the export market," explains Varun Sureka, Director, Hartex Rubber.

FRANKFURT, Germany - The three Indian companies Amar Wheels, Hartex Rubber and Navyug Namdhari presented themselves in a joint booth at Eurobike this year. Following their successful cooperation at Eurobike 2019, the three companies decides to step up their joint presence this year.
