Decathlon expands presence in southern Germany with new stores

PLOCHINGEN, Germany - Next year, Decathlon-Germany has set its sights on a targeted expansion in the nation's south. The French sporting goods manufacturer and retailer is planning to open five stores there in the coming year, creating 250 new jobs.

Eastern Europe still in demand as new factories open

WARSAW, Poland - Since production relocation is on the agenda in the e-bike industry, multiple clusters in Eastern Europe have been in the spotlight. Over the past few years some large facilities have been opened, but we have also seen smaller projects successfully investing in the booming e-bike and bicycle market. In the case of Ecoride the anti-dumping duties were the main reason to open-up a factory in Poland, while Atelierele Pegas is a Romanian initiative with the potential to expand into the micro-mobility market.

Bafang moves to larger location in Germany as growth continues

HÖVELHOF, Germany - Following the official renaming of the German subsidiary as Bafang Electric GmbH, Bafang have decided move to a much larger company facility. An extended range of tasks and planned activity, plus additional new personnel, have made the relocation in October 2020 essential.

Corona pandemic opens market for e-bike start-ups and newcomers

Woom invests in sustainability and starts production in Poland
