EASTWOOD, United Kingdom - Raleigh UK risks being closed down by the government agency Companies House over its failure to file its financial results. The fully owned Accell Group subsidiary has been given three months to get its affairs in order or face being forced to shut down its operation.

Fitch Ratings has downgraded Accell Group and questions the company's possibility of meeting its financial commitments. According to Accell Group, "the Fitch report reflects the difficult market circumstances."

CLOPPENBURG, Germany - Since 2005, the venerable British bicycle brand Raleigh has been rolling into the German-speaking market as a licensed brand through the Pon Bike Group. With the license contract with Accell Group set to expire at the end of September 2023, both parties have already agreed to transfer Raleigh's DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) distribution back to the Accell Group.
