A look at the bicycle industry reveals various approaches to dealing with an economic downturn. Leading the way is one such strategy, as demonstrated by Tektro and TRP. For 2024, the bicycle component specialist has planned a series of product launches. The first unveiling will already take place at the Garda Bike Festival in May.

By appointing Silvan Schäfer as marketing coordinator for Europe, Tektro is set to intensify its marketing efforts across the continent. In addition to expanding its presence in Germany, the company plans to boost its visibility across several other European markets.

CHANGHUA, Taiwan - Product availability gave Tektro TRP a huge hike in demand for its bicycle components and brakes during the pandemic. The growing significance and quality made Tektro TRP an important partner for the ABS system of Bosch. But Tektro TRP had more in the pipeline as shown last week at Taipei Cycle Show.

Since establishing its European headquarters in 2019, the Taiwanese component manufacturer, TEKTRO, together with its premium brand TRP has invested heavily in ramping up its service offerings. Today, the team, based in the German town of Haßloch, an hour's drive from Frankfurt, supports OEs, DIs, dealers and media across Europe.

TEKTRO and its premium brand TRP take an important step into the European market: next spring, in April 2022, the TEKTRO Europe Service Center opens near Frankfurt in Germany. It is primarily focused on supporting OEs, DIs and dealers. The setting up of this physical and digital service facility goes hand in hand with an expansion of the product portfolio.

Tektro is growing rapidly. The company which is offering brake solutions for over 30 years is seeing strong demand for its products. Mainly because Tektro and its premium brand TRP have focused and committed to e-bike-specific technologies. These are designed to cope with the greater weight on e-bikes and e-cargo bikes, among other things. "We have a flexible and very capable R&D team. Over the years we have designed many innovative solutions for customers that we can use as a basis for developing new technologies."
