FRANKFURT, Germany - enviolo, known for its unique stepless shifting products, introduced two new additions to its product portfolio during Eurobike this year the 'Extreme' hub and gearbox. With the Extreme products enviolo aims to strengthen its position in the B2B e-cargo bike segment and meet the demands of bicycle manufacturers who want to equip cargo bikes with enviolo's stepless shifting technology.

The Extreme gearbox has specifically been designed for the multi-lane last-mile delivery bike segment to transport heavy cargo loads up to 500 kg. The manufacturer says it is optimally used in combination with their Automatiq system.

Durable and robust

The new Extreme products are durable and robust and have a 380% ratio range. The enclosed hub and gearbox shell offer protection against intense external influences, increasing durability and extending product lifetime. Both products are equipped with enviolo’s proven technology, are suitable for all cargo bike models, and include the same benefits as the other enviolo stepless shifting products. Such as effortless shifting, even under heavy cargo load, and the stoplight function.

“Now more than ever are companies looking for ways to replace traditional automotive cargo solutions with sustainable means of transport,” David Hancock, enviolo CEO said during the launch at Eurobike. “By designing stepless shifting systems that can be used to transport heavy cargo we can empower urban communities focused on sustainable, healthy, and socially responsible lifestyles. Riding a cargo bike with enviolo’s technology means concentrating less on shifting and more on transporting heavy cargo from A to B.”
