Askoll Ultra, the brand dedicated to developing power units for e-MTBs, renews its commitment with Mirko Tabacchi for the WES 2024 World Championship, officially sponsoring the Italian athlete. Tabacchi will race an e-MTB equipped with Askoll Ultra C90A power unit.

Askoll Ultra strengthens its collaboration with Italian athlete Mirko Tabacchi, competing in the WES World Championship for the second consecutive year. In 2023, Mirko Tabacchi started racing with an RDR bike equipped with the Askoll Ultra C90A power unit. This year, Askoll Ultra becomes the official sponsor of the athlete, supporting him in every stage of the championship.

Mirko Tabacchi, who also is the 2024 Italian e-XC champion and has already achieved a double podium in the first race of the WES championship, has shown talent, determination, and the ability to make the most of Askoll's advanced technologies over the years. The synergy between athletes and technology has been crucial for success and is an example of how innovation can push the boundaries of sporting performance.

Askoll Ultra C90A

The Askoll Ultra C90A is the brand’s first power unit specifically designed for e-MTB use. This compact motor, crafted with a blend of artisanal precision and Askoll's industrial expertise, is built to deliver both high efficiency and reliable power, enhancing the riding experience over long distances.

In terms of performance, the Askoll Ultra C90A has a peak power of 1,200 W and a maximum torque of 110 Nm, optimized for a range of 60 to 80 rpm. It offers five levels of assistance, along with walk assistance and unassisted modes, providing flexible support that ranges from 70% to 450% of the rider’s input.

One of the key innovations of the Askoll Ultra C90A is its patented 4-axis construction, which enables the motor's miniaturization. Despite its traditional aluminium construction, the motor remains compact and lightweight, weighing just 2.9 kg.

This 'hope' was abandoned in the second half of the year as insolvencies and closures began to dominate the headlines. As hopes now push forward to those that have 'survived to 2025', here, a perhaps unwelcome look back at 2024.
