New investment project
Leader 96 also unveiled its new investment project: a new 25,ooo m2 factory for high-end e-bikes built on a total 47,000m2 area with integrated eco-systems, and 300 employees. The facility will open in the early 2023 and the expectations are high.
It promises a one-of-a-kind process organisation model, ensuring a lean, agile, and cost-effective workflow. With no operational stock and fully integrated Quality Assessment, the factory will be highly progressive in terms of supporting the operators, leading to a production capacity over 250,000 e-bikes per year.
Popular highlights from the e-bike portfolio
E-SUV
It goes without saying that the SUV e-bike model is gaining momentum. The tall and elegant silhouette is obtained from the extension of the tube integrating the battery, and from there all the elements come together to obtain symmetry and stability of the structure.
The batteries for this type of bike have a higher durability, 625Wh – 750Wh, compared to city models. This model is compatible with grippy as well as smoother thin tyres as it is used in both urban and rough terrain. It seems, like cars, that SUV bikes will continue to grow in popularity.
E-SUV L
E-SUV L is a sports model adapted for ladies, with low step-through frame design. It is specifically designed for smooth rolling on all terrains. The Bosch 625 Wh battery is neatly nested into the downtube, combined with the high-end drive unit Bosch Gen4. The 27,5” wheels and grippy tyres perfectly match the geometry of the frame.
E-SUV H
E-SUV H is a premium power package for cyclists, with aesthetic lines and selected durable components. The smooth shifting Shimano Deore 11 gear and the hydraulic disc brakes make travelling and everyday use safe and pleasurable. The models are equipped with Bosch Intuvia LED display, comfortably placed in the center of the handlebar, right before the eyes.
HYBRID Urban E-Bike
Universal, ultra-comfortable, and steady, HYBRID is a new generation urban e-bike, suitable for commuting and street-riding. The 20” aluminium compact frame combined with rigid fork makes an excellent construction for long and stable tours across the city. The model is equipped with the newest ANANDA mid motor M81 and a lasting integrated 11Ah battery that provide highly functional assistance.
Reliable Shimano hydraulic brakes and a Shimano Sora 9-speed system ensure confidence and impeccable performance. The adjustable seat of Selle Royal Hertz and tyres of Schwalbe Big Apple promise extra comfort and maximum ease of handling. All components are thoughtfully integrated and masterly fit.
HYBRID is friendly, easy-going, and elegant enough to ride across the city and beyond.
WILD E-MTB for kids
These long-anticipated e-bike models are a great option for active kids and offer an opportunity to join challenging tours with their parents and balance the differences in performance within family. The light 24” aluminium frame follows the geometry of the popular WILD series and fits perfectly with the suspension fork. The low center of gravity increases stability, and the e-bike is just as safe as regular bikes from technical point of view.
Difference
The 2 models differ significantly: the one is built with Ananda rear motor, combined with Shimano Tourney 7-speed system for inspired start. The other model is aimed at more advanced cyclists, truly functional and capable, with a central motor Ananda combined with Shimano Alivio 9-speed system and hydraulic brakes, for a super-safe ride and impeccable performance on the road independent of grade. The WILD Kids series will undoubtedly find dedicated young cyclists and pave the way for the future sport generation.
