AM2R project to showcase Portuguese innovation at Eurobike 2025

The AM2R project ('Agenda Mobilizadora para a Inovação Empresarial do Setor das Duas Rodas' - Mobilizing Agenda for Business Innovation in the Two-Wheel Sector) will have a significant presence at Eurobike 2025, demonstrating the growing capabilities of the Portuguese bicycle, e-bike, and soft mobility industry.

This initiative represents the largest-ever delegation from the Portuguese two-wheel sector, organized by ABIMOTA, and forms a key component of the AM2R’s international promotion activities. The project is co-funded by the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) / Next Generation EU.

Strengthen Portuguese companies and institutions

“The primary objective of participating in Eurobike 2025 is to present the AM2R project and its achievements to date,” says Gil Nadais, Secretary-General of ABIMOTA. “AM2R is strategically aligned with efforts to strengthen the capacity of Portuguese companies and institutions to participate in value chains within the bicycle, e-bike, and soft mobility sectors.”

The AM2R project involves a consortium of 44 companies and institutions, led by Polisport, and has already equipped over half of these entities with Industry 4.0 technologies. To date, over €200 million of the planned €213 million has been invested, driving modernization and enhancing competitiveness. The project has now surpassed 50% implementation, with approximately two-thirds of participating entities currently undergoing or having completed modernization processes.
